Brent’s Summer Schedule!

busy boys!

06/05/2008 8:10PM PACIFIC

There was a circuit overload at our hosting company today! Everything should be running fine now!

Alright -

What am I doing this week? Probably spreading myself too thin, but I won’t know until about Sunday after Los Angeles Pride ;-)

A new model just arrived, tomorrow I have a sunset photo shoot with him. He’s half Filipino half white and I’m really excited about him. He’s ridiculously adorable and completely and utterly charming. To me, he epitomizes the real American boy. I’m going to take really good care of this one and ease him slowly into things. Tomorrow evening at sunset I have a non-nude, non adult oriented shoot we’re doing on the beach to begin acclimating him to the camera.

Thursday another boy arrives, whom I’ve been talking to off and off for way too long. I can’t wait to finally meet him and I’ve also got high hopes for this one. He’s got a great natural singing ability and if he pays his dues and does a good job in front of the camera, I would love to work extra abilities into the promotion and plot features we are cooking up. Ideally I will have him with me when I hit San Francisco Pride the last weekend of this month.

If I don’t feel too overwhelmed, I’ll be out at Los Angeles Pride this weekend. We’ll see though!

PUT IT ON YOUR CALENDARS:

Wednesday, June 11th at 10 PM until 1 AM – “Porn Star of the Week: West Hollywood Edition”

At Here Lounge! I will be there as the porn star meat of the week. I’ll have 3 of my boys and probably Rocket joining me.

Another Gay Fundraiser hosted by Brent Corrigan benefiting:

Community United Against Violence

Another Gay Fundraiser!

Thursday, June 26th, 2008 at 9:00 PM at LookOut in San Francisco 3600 16th ST and Market ST

I will be devoting later posts to this event specifically, so hold tight for more information!

Saturday, June 28, 8:30 PM at Castro Theatre WORLD PREMIER of Another Gay Sequel! YES, I will be here joined with everyone that I love, including the cast of the movie.

Thursday, July 10th at 8:00 PM IN THE CLOSET makes its screen debut at OUTFEST, the Los Angeles Gay and Lesbian Film Festival

In The Closet

I am planning a party for around 10 PM, probably back in West Hollywood. I haven’t started looking into this but I will very soon here.

It’s second showing is Sunday, July 20th at 4:30PM.

In the next couple days, the online ticket box will be open here:

OUTFEST

ALSO VIEWING AT OUTFEST THIS YEAR:

Another Gay Sequel

Saturday, July 19th at 9:30 PM at OUTFEST

Stan The Merman!

Unfortunately, it looks unlikely that I will be able to get to Los Angeles for this viewing. I will be here in San Diego the weekend of July 19th and 20th. We’re starting to put designs into a float we hope to feature in the parade and I’m going to begin looking into a fun themed night on Friday of Pride here in San Diego. Stay tuned for more information on that!

Can you believe it?! Did you ever think!? I would be on the big screen in two projects, in one place, at one film festival?

I had to pass up dinner with Rocket and the new boy this evening so I could get this post out to all of you and make sure you were aware of the coming dates. Don’t pass these up! I would love to see you there! I hardly ever run into blog readers. Either that or you tend to be the lurking kind ;-)

I took Rocket riding this morning out in the trails. I had an amazing time despite that it was my first ride in more than a week. We were under the sun from about 9 AM until 2 PM, and I – like a careless idiot didn’t even think about sun screen. Now I’m sporting the worst burn I remember getting in YEARS.

I’ve been too busy. My schedule has been so packed I haven’t even been able to recover fully from a slight respiratory infection. I went out to ride anyway because I’ve been so excited about sharing a good ride with one of my favorite people. I had to ride a different horse because Cole doesn’t handle well out in the trails. He’s starting to trust me more, but I didn’t want to be stressed the whole ride.

When I take him out in the trails, he’ll spook last minute at ANYTHING if I don’t coax him by it all the way. He’ll get by something and I’ll think the coast is clear and then out of nowhere he’ll shift his weight and shy away from it. This horse either needs more life experience (which is something I can help him with!) or he’s just not very smart.

I’m waiting on my new saddle to come in the mail. I broke down and bought a $400 half leather, half canvas cheap ass saddle so I would feel safe and secure when riding him in the trails. I also bought a bridle. Spent too much on that though!
Anyway, Rocket and I rode out to the beach today, which was my first ride in years on the shore! It was amazing! I can’t even find the words to voice how happy I was to be able to share a great thing that I love with him. He’ll be a good little rider in the next few months if he lets me drag him out there another few times.

However, I do fear that my schedule and work load will not allow me to continue spending time out there. Plus, with the rising cost of gas, driving 24 miles each way to ride horses may have to give sometime soon. I guess since I don’t drive to work it evens out a little, no?

Early to bed means early to ride ;-) I need to give Cole some lovin, so I’ll be out there bright and early tomorrow. Wearing Sunscreen. Hope to see you out at some of these events in the near future!

I am so happy you and Kevin G remain in touch. This is one of the right projects for you and I was so excited when you first announced you would be emceeing at ‘A Mid-Summers Night Dream’ years ago. To my mind, this type of work must become your legacy,…above all other.
Lot’s of exciting news here, Ismael Alvarez art, new boys, a new saddle and a great poster.
Sadly though, it is late and I must crash. Night Brent.
    Love from Texas, Albert

Great to read you are joyful and upbeat. I remember seeing the Pacific Ocean with two very dear friends of mine, and how wonderfully awe inspiring and tranquil it was. Riding, a good friend, no worries–those are times to really treasure.

You will have to take a picture of Cole decked out in his new bridle and saddle.

    Take care,
    Rob

hopefully you see this; do you ride english or western? trail horses are usually western, but i just figured i’d ask. Where i’m from, formal instruction is all about english.

just thought I’d ask! been reading, but i haven’t commented in a while ;)

OMG DeWayne, what a well researched and succinctly written article on horse riding and TOTALY GAY.
Consider this small guote , “In english riding, the rider takes a rein in each hand, whereas western riders take both reins in one hand, allowing the other hand to fall naturally at their side, or lay on their thigh.”
I am seriously cracked up at that. Western riding is ‘WORK’ riding. Having your “other hand to fall naturally at their side, or lay on their thigh.” Seriously partner, that is gay-think.
That other hand will be handling a rope, prod, flashlight (maybe a fleshlight :) ), guitar, drum, trumpet or some other tool.
The author is thorough in his definitions and it is a great article on that point. Still, I laughed a lot, but I am a Texan.

It sounds like you are very busy Brent. It sounds like the horseback riding is going well. It sounds as if you really like it a lot. I am sure the it is very therapeutic for you. You have been through a lot in you life and I think this is very good for you. Take care and big hug to you man.

    Peace & Love – Mareczku
