Los Angeles Pride 2008
Nothin like a good old fashioned, southern California Pride Season to wipe you out 
I think we did a decent job documenting this year’s trip to Los Angeles Pride, so I’m going to let the pictures do much of the talking this time. Much to your dismay, I’m sure – we managed to keep the debauchery and sexual scandal out of the photos. I usually reserve that type of public behavior for the professionals.
The traffic, believe it or not, wasn’t that bad! We made it to LA in under 2 hours and checked into the Roosevelt Hotel. I splurged a little (cuz I’m finally getting to that point where I don’t have to starve myself for two weeks in order for me to do so ) and got me and the boys a mini suite. Upon check in, they didn’t have our double beds available. So, there was a lot of cheek squeezing beneath the sheets in order to make room for everyone.
When we arrived at the festival on Saturday, there was this drag queen spinning records on the first stage. She appeared to be trying quite intently to ignore me. We walked by a few times but I didn’t really have the stomach to see what her reaction might be if I attempted to approach her. Yes, I was mildly fearful that she might swallow me whole if I got too close.

The boys and I ran into Turk Melrose at the well know on-line distributor’s booth, PORNTEAM.COM in the adult section of the festival. He looked great! Rocket was taking pictures and people getting edging up into him so they could snap us as we posed together. At one point, this one guy got too close to Rocket for comfort, and being the outspoken rocket boy that he is, he blurted out “DO YOU MIND? YOU’RE KINDA IN MY WAY RIGHT NOW”. Of course, he didn’t realize it was one of the guys from PORNTEAM.COM just trying to grab the same shots he was. It was an honest mistake but I can’t help but admire how that boys sticks up for me

Rocket is so curvy! I’m having a bad hair day (and trying to look tough, but I look like I’m making a particularly stressful shit instead).
Billy Masters and Mama were hosting the main stage. It’s always nice when you walk up to a big stage production like that and the hosts call out your name to say a little hello Cooper was a little starstruck when I got that response from these two. Billy came down during his break to say hello and as always, was particularly sweet. He likes to make jail house jokes on me. It’s not really that funny, but at least he’s not dropping bareback jokes on me. I really do look forward to seeing more of this guy in the future. Who knows, maybe there’s a solid collaborative effort in the cards for us! I sure hope so
Then, Rocket being his usual “on-the-spot” self, spotted Darryl Stephens and grabbed him for a photo. I was surprised he knew who I was! If you don’t remember Darryl from his role in Another Gay Movie, you certainly know he’s the star of Noah’s Arc on Logo. He also did some work on Ugly Betty and Boy Culture. When I was like . . . probably 12 he did Undressed, which was a teen dramedy show about kids in college and their relationships (probably the raciest but also more socially becoming shows I was exposed to before the age of 18 almost).
We made it out to the parade late on Sunday, but managed to grab a few drag queens for photo ops despite our inability to wake up before noon. This one was particularly well put together. Very classy! Too bad those high noon shadows are so unforgiving 
I had to catch some shade! The sun in LA is ridiculous. And of course I didn’t even think to do the sunscreen. I managed to stay shaded for most of the afternoon.

We walked by this train of trannies. I couldn’t help snapping this shot. I think they were a little flattered for the extra attention, though. I took my time framing the shot.
I flashed my ass at lil Coop and he couldn’t handle it He started blushing and getting all silly eyed. Great times! Great shot!
After the parade on Sunday, we headed over to a big pool party at Roland Emmerich’s place (hosted by both Roland and Bryan Singer). Roland directed The Patriot, The Day After Tomorrow, Independence Day and many others. Bryan directed one or two of the X Men flicks and Superman Returns, as well as many other great films I am blanking on right now. I grabbed Jonah Blechman to bring him along to the party, though he found out later he was already on the list +3. It was the best time we had all weekend. I can’t remember the last time I saw some many exclusively attractive boys and men in one place! We felt like Hollywood celebrities, drinking and rubbing shoulders with big time directors and celebrities like Lance Bass. Thanks Josh for getting us in to that!
I’ll check with Josh to see if he has some photos I can post from it. I don’t have any here because we hid the camera and forgot to even snap a few, in all the excitement.
All in all, it was a great Pride! We took it easy and I didn’t have anything work related to stress about. I could just BE and not have to DO.

WOW LA pride seems amazing. I’m planning on going to NY pride so hopefully they have stuff just as cool as the infamous LA ones.
Btw, Brent, you look REALLY hot in the 3rd to last and last picture….that little subtle goatee thing you have going there really works on you.
i really enjoyed this post mainly because of the photos that you included, it gives those of us who didnt go to those events an idea of what its all about so good job

Mr. Cooper has a fun and intelligent smile. The one picture with the shadows all wrong is actually perfect for his chest. I would so like to hear that boy talk.
Turk looks great. One of my frustrations with you Brent is that you have model looks but seem to avoid model oriented picures with other models. Turk is a very beautiful boy with a lot of modeling experience. You two should do a major photo set together.
You know I wanted you to do pictures with my most beautiful friend. I am still not happy that did not happen. Maybe someday. I so hope.
I really laugh at the picture of you in front of the DJ stand. It almost looks like you were photoshopped in. Icons from different generations. I wish things were better. Again, maybe someday. You and Jason worked together again. I look forward to the report on that.
The intermix of short clips with natural photos was well done. It was another part of a very good day for me.

Brent, you’re bright pink, while Cooper and Rocket are brown. They are designed to live near the equator, while you are designed to live near the Arctic Circle. Take a hint. Help is on the way in the form of Neutrogena SPF 45 spray. It has a minor funky silicone odor, but it feels good when it goes on. Asking for help spreading it a bit can be an icebreaker when making new friends. Let’s knock off the hair and skin mishaps. They only issue one epidermis.

I finally got around to reading the post sure does look fun. In all my travels i’ve not had a chance to celebrate pride in a different city. I’m usually too worn out from the week long celebration up here in San Francisco, but this year might be different.
Well Im glad you had fun and hope to see you at some of the events up here. Tho I think I’ll be running at 300 mph this week i’m sure i’ll stop long enough to drink 12 martinis Thursday Night.

Concerning Summit: have been watching & rewatching (^.^) and totally agree that it was an EXCELLENT way to make your directorial debut…belated congratulations on it. It was the first porno I’ve watched where I didn’t feel compelled to keep the volume turned way, WAY down–interactions between the models seemed so relaxed & natural, making it much hotter…and the in-between candid stuff was fantastic (please release more!!)
Also spent awhile reading your blog…you are inspiring and amazing and freaking gorgeous (despite the blond, which I’m not a big fan of) and I can’t wait for more from you!
