I know turning 23 for me, another year older, isn’t like one of the 7 signs of the Apocalypse, as SOME WOULD have you believe.  But it’s still happening and it’s still going to be TO DIE FOR.

You know what I mean?

Friday I’m having 50 or so of my closest friends – and probably 50 or so of THEIR closest friends – over for an early evening Blood Feast.  I’m only kidding.  I don’t even know 50 people and their friends. I had to have my boyfriend make up the guest list. I couldn’t think of a better use for a good boyfriend!

What’s a Blood Feast? Because everyone knows I’m really just a sinful, bloodthirsty predator.  If the cat’s out of the bag, I mind as well drop the facade.  But don’t worry, those of you who are firmly influenced beneath one of my spells; you’re safe.  You’re much too useful to me alive as a follower of the Cult of Corrigan than as an early evening snack.

Well, I’ve always fantasized about having a lavish, outlandish Masquerade Ball for my birthday. A palace, horse drawn carriages, live entertainment and a strict dress code. Maybe next year because there simply wasn’t time (or frankly, the money) to go all out this time around. The next best thing is a house full of vampires, a punch fountain streaming with a plasma-like substance (alcoholic, naturally!), and red roses all over to signify our undying love for passion and blood-lust.

All you need to know is, I’m going out of 22 in style and of course, I’ll be posting pictures to share.

If you’ve been wracking your brain trying to figure out what you could possibly get a boy like me for my birthday, I’ve got a decent recommendation. And this way, you can enjoy my birthday just as much as I might If you haven’t picked up your copy of Big Easy, now is as good of a time as any.
