a little sketchy today

I’ve recently began collaborating with a local comic book artist here in San Diego. OLIVER NOME has agreed to work closely with me on a iconic Brent Corrigan anime character and image. He’s a very talented and versatile artist who spends his days working at a local DC Comics office. I’m hoping several great pieces of art come out of this – and someday soon, our very own comic strip!
Right now we’re kicking back and forth different styles. Manga style and Comic Book Style are the two distinct styles we have looked at so far. My feelings are that Comic Book Style will be more widely favored because it includes a little bit more detail and a rounder, smoother edge.
The image here was a quick mock up Oliver did just to temporarily wet my appetite. It’s Manga style.
I have two sketches of Anime Brent done; one of each. Comic Book Style Brent has some minor edits to be done. Once I have both in my inbox, I will post them and put the two styles to a vote.
I’m really excited about this project! This will be a fun, creative way of living out some of my biggest fantasies. I’ve been thinking of different rendering ideas.
Initially, I was thinking it would be best to start off with a series that is just ME doing what I do in the world. Sort of set the stage as to who this character is. Anime ME playing with Dickie, my doggie. Anime me on set with cameras, lights and condoms flying all over the place! Anime me at the nude beach tangled in seaweed (eew! I could never really . . . . you know how I feel about that.). Anime me riding a horse out on the Mesa in Imperial Beach here in San Diego.
Do you have any ideas of your own?
Your Friend and Lover,
Brent

If you go to Oliver’s Myspace page there and click on his albums, he features some of his work to look at! Enjoy!
I have a particular liking for tentacle monsters and Yiffing machines, or is that a different genre?
This is genius marketing. The comic book generations are all inclusive, all ages. Great cross marketing in an unused area.
About, perfectly! For a long time it was necessary to make something similar!
Drawing is very similar to the original
Brent!!!!
A very exciting project!
Here in Brazil,São Paulo, Manga style are very successful indeed,Comics book style are also successful here!
I think more for the taste of each one, however I have no preference between Comics style and manga, I think both a maximum.
Most think you should start with manga style.
Comic style of a sleeve or you and your dog Dickie, I think a great idea, will do much success!
Good Luck!!!!
Love you.
Your turn as the Boy Wonder was hot. Now a Brent Corrigan comic strip, I can’t wait. Mr Nome’s “Beast Boy” and “Captain America” whet my appetite for a sexy Anime Brent.
S U P E R Brent Corrigan looks great!
i love the drawing, he’s really talented, i can’t wait to see the completed version
.
And i love manga style so i can’t not love this ^^
“Super Brent to the rescue” lol
Wow what a great paiting!!
Very great!
I had a little fun a while back on dewayneinsd with the idea that Dickie is mind linked with a deep cover agent of the Galactic Federation. Designated Kappa Theta, he is tasked with observation and protection of high value Federation interests. The MIB is investigating some strange events surrounding Brent Corrigan but as yet have discovered nothing and have only succeeded in arousing this young stars suspicion. Will the MIB find out what’s going on? Will Brent discover his true identity and develop his psychokinetic powers? Can Kappa Theta keep his identity secret? Can Dickie get a Beggin’ Strip? Be sure to read the next installment of “Prodigy from the Stars”.
So strong leg… So perfect mask… And what’s your personal power, Super Honey? ))))
I have one another image for you))) But it’s a little strange, may be))) It connects with beatiful wings (but no Angel) and with Magic (but very special magic) ^___^
Just as long as you don’t wear your underwear over your pants – that’s NEVER a good look
Can’t wait to see the finished article.
Horrors, the symbol on the left hand is “BB.”
The essence of drama is conflict. There is no conflict in enjoying one’s life in SOCAL. The character must confront an axis of evil which credibly may defeat the character and all he stands for.
Very sweet idea. I just wonder if it will be adult or not???
I would opt for a funny mix of your real everyday life and the superhero scheme (in the wonderboy tradition). There is an old photo from brentcorriganonline I find inspiring in this sense, coming from a series where you are dressed a little nerdy, in beige pants and a tie. In one photo you pull down the pants and get nude, but you called it clark brent, in a reference to superman clark kent who quickly gets out of his suit and has his superman costume underneath, in a way his true identity. In a certain twist you declare your nudity as your personal superman costume, which is very true for a porn superstar. Well, didn’t you say somewhere you do not really like clothes in general and prefer to be naked at home and whenever possible? So if the comic can be a little adult I would build some superhero story where nudity is somehow the secret weapon or a means to save the prosecuted and oppressed. A bit crazy, but fun.
sorry, that was lana, i am posting from my old laptop.
What would make you shove everything else in your life aside, go pick up a rifle, and fight to the death? That is the source of conflict.
Geoff,
I knew somebody would chim in. Brent asked the artist to do this in good faith so far. The artist is not that familiar with Brent’s long and colorful past.
Therefore, this was the artists intention: Look carefully at the B’s. They were meant to be advanced, sharpened, throwing blades. Similar to the multi-purpose Bat throwing hooks that Batman uses to combat Gotham crime.
So you see, when Brent accepted the proof in just a short time before he revealed in on here. There wasn’t enough time to relate the significance of a double B to the artist. As so not to delay the rendition’s debut here on BCI. Brent displayed common courtesy and respect to his latest collaboration partner. As he stated in the post, it is basically a work in progress. So rather only share with his fans, his ultimate decision. He’s opted to let his fans witness the evolution of the project.
I hope that explains the characters to Geoff and any others that might have also been a little confused. So it’s very likely in the future, this image will be a collector’s item.
Thanks,
>Grant
Grant, I wasn’t confused, I was just needling you.
I don’t allow myself to go to bars anymore, especially late at night, especially in Ft. Lauderdale. There was this Miami band called Load in the early ’90’s . . . I won’t go into it. We had a break in the middle of the broadcast, and the singer, Bobby, went missing. We all went out to round him up and found him in the van finishing off the cooler. The band were pretty angry that he had consumed the going home beer, but the irony was that Bobby wasn’t any more pissed than he had been at the beginning of the set. Winter Park has an early closing time for package sales, so we had to hustle to get them a going away present. If there is a daytime meet and greet, I hope it is dog accessible. You are not allowed to leave the dog in the truck in 80 degree weather in Florida.
Cool drawing of my buddy! Haha!
This may be a bit corny, however i am going to say it anyways… What you think of this…
Brent standing on a tennis court protecting his ally holding his racket and ready to smash any balls that come his way!!! Haha.
You know that I am a big fan of tennis and just had to put that in. Hope you enjoyed your laugh cause the next one is on you!!! Miss you bud.
A Fan,
Curtis
Ps. Suggestion: You need to come Further East to perhaps NYC or NJ cause we miss you very much!!!
Pss. Enjoy yourself in Florida & be careful. Try to save me an autograph cause i have a Wonderful picture of you and me that I must get you to sign.
Great. A very good idea which are planning, I guess that now goes beyond a simple growth. I think both styles are good, but the Manga is more advisable, because it is what is most important, considering the public again, because the comic as this happening, but where you also see is a better point that out.
Saludos y Suerte.
It’s a great idea! It’s a fun idea and it’ll have my inner geek salivating. I always did have a thing for comics and animation. But what I wanna know is what kind of style is it gonna be? Is it gonna be humorous, geeky, serious?! Are we going to have villains, or is it going to be more graphic novel style?
I shall indubitably look forward to this projects fruits, and as for ideas I have hundreds
hey, i like it!
look forward to seeing more.
hope you are well.
as ever,

I like the drawing!
I personally think manga is the way to go. I’ve read numerous serious, yet comical manga. I’ve also seen how well manga’s can handle more… intimate scenes. Comics are also great, but most people quickly associate them to superheroes or comedy. A manga would incorporate so many things together much more easily.
Also, please give Oliver my praise of his work. As an artist myself I can easily see he is extremely talented.
I never though I’d see a comic or manga involving you though. It’s a fresh idea that’ll appeal to many people.
This has inspired me to create some new art. Au revoir. Je regarde tu a demain.
Kyree
Hi Brent,
How cool!
The character looks very active and soooo charming just like you, and I’m looking forward to see how it goes whether it will be found in manga style or comic style.
I’m so excited to see your own world has been spreading out everyday.
Actually, i can hardly wait!
Please take care,

Hi Brent–
I like the Clark Brent idea, not as the mild mannered CK of Superman. CK was so gungho as a working newspaperman, to the point that the only away from the Daily Planet thing the readers learned of his private life was that he enjoyed Lois Lane’s company.
Clark Brent, the sometimes quiet, contemplative (yet, thoughtful) public figure, in glasses who works diligently perusing scripts, lining up models, setting photo/film shoots, penciling in public appearances and the downtime guy who plays with his trusty dog, takes horseback rides, and frequents the beach, and makes a life with his loyal partner Grant and transforms into the courteous, worldly-wise, charismatic, inspiring dreamer with eyes that are attractively appealing and an engaging personality, sensual, sensuous, erotic and exotic all at the same time. That is you are boundless in what you represent.
This venture is a new and exciting dimension. It should go very well.
Regards and good wishes,
Rob
Rob, you are aware yes that Grant and I are no longer romantically linked, and have not been for more than a year now?
Brent–
Yes, I did read that. I should have been clearer. I was referring to Grant as your business partner. Not a love interest. Sorry for the confusion. I should have been more precise.
Rob
It would be very fantastic if you had loads of different styles going on- different artists and writers- like Batman. You could cover so many different genres that way from outright rude to epic adventure.
Whatever you decide it’ll be a brilliant move- nice one.
manga…nice…
I’d love to be rescued by him…..
