THE STUNTMAN
Wow! This year’s GayVN Awards has proven to be far more eventful and encapsulating than of any of the few years I have attended in years past!
I have much to share about my experiences of Saturday night. Currently, I am pulling resources, photos and calling on new friends and allies to help definitively set the record straight on some misconceptions that have surfaced over the last 36 hours.
First! The good news! I took home 3 awards my first year nominated as a producer and a performer. I would like to graciously and humbly thank GayVN for presenting me with the awards Best Professional Amateur Video for Summit, Best Twink Video for Just the Sex 1 and Best Bottom Performer of the year.
It has been a stressful and harrowing long few years. Possibly for the first time ever since starting work within this industry I have been able to shed feelings of inadequacy. Decisions I made in my past have inspired studios, models, producers – and well, lets face it, at times; the whole industry to completely turn it’s back on me.
There is nothing worse in life than feeling like an outcast. To be shunned and stripped of all dignity and worth; deemed reprehensible because you were misguided into an unsafe and detrimental situation that you were unprepared to make wise and informed decisions.
In what was an otherwise wonderful evening there was some negativity directed at me from Michael Lucas. While unprovoked, his attempts to thwart a special evening for me were unsuccessful. Without warrant or invite, ML forced himself onto the stage and to the mic during a transitional moment during the show’s proceedings. Bitterly and maliciously, he made this statement:
“Shame on the judges who nominated and awarded Corrigan. On a night we honor ASACP there should be no forgiveness for the company’s and individuals who put the industry in danger by supporting this . . .”
I can’t recall exactly which derogatory terms he used, but it was harsh and aimed to hurt. The boos and applause drown it out on the live feed. More boos were heard than clapping though 
I’ve been called many things over the years. I learned to accept early on that this comes with the territory of living in the public eye. Living my life openly and honestly as a public figure also means people have and always will target me. Saturday evening at the GayVN Awards, Michael Lucas used me as a personal pawn in his game of publicity foul play. He has a running track record to these theatrics and stunts.
Mr. Lucas’ account of the evening in his blog is one long string of fallacies.
He reported that the next my boyfriend was taken into custody after threatening ML at the after party.
No one was arrested, and no one was threatened with any sort of bodily harm. Michael Lucas did say to my boyfriend, however, that he would “never, ever stop harassing your boyfriend!”
Later in the evening after the show, at the after party, Michael Lucas put himself between my boyfriend and me and the exit of the club. We were on our way home. He forced his body into Paul (my boyfriend of almost one year) and stepped on his toes and shoes. Michael immediately was hostile and a shouting match began. Paul requested the aid of two security officials of the venue. A warning was issued to Michael Lucas. The club was loud, there were many people around but words could not easily be heard over the noise unless you were within inches of the incident like I was. Despite this and what lies have been told, no threats of bodily harm or death were made ever to Michael Lucas. Names were called and threats of social ruin and disdain were made.
Paul and I woke the following morning at 8 AM with several police officers at our bedside. Paul was cuffed and taken out into the hallway so he could be questioned separately from me. Paul is 6 foot, 200 + pounds. There was no resist or hostility from either parties; the cuffs were used as a precaution based on the misleading statements ML had previously made to the authorities.
This occurred because Michael Lucas’ pride and ego was brutally wounded when he was booed and the bulk of the GayVN patrons expressed distaste for his uninvited ranting on stage at the event. Michael filed false statements of a serious nature to use the San Francisco Police force as a pawn in his charade. Are you seeing the trend here?
This was done to humiliate and dehumanize me and those who care and look after me. I have people in my life who care about me and who stand by me; when necessary they defend me. I am as proud of them as they are of me.
Once Michael’s history, motives and his outcry on stage were all brought to light to the authorities; Paul was released from his cuffs and we gave our written statements. The police were very fair and even sided. They were polite and quickly drew the correct conclusions. They departed after a little over an hour of discussion. Together Paul and I returned to bed to sleep the morning away.
Michael Lucas could not stand to walk away from the awards with just one accolade. He had to pull tricks and play the bitter card to make it all about him. But at what cost?
Anything Michael Lucas has to recite says more about him than me. If he wants to go on with his fabrications of hate and theatrics, I will have no part in it. He, or anyone else, can only take from me what I allow them to have.
In the last few years I have been called things that would make most people give up on themselves. I have apologized and made arrangements in the past to do what I could to set right what was so very wrong about my underage work. Later this week, I intend to republish and reiterate the circumstances surrounding my premature entrance into the adult industry.
With so much attention once again called to this issue, it is my belief that once and for all I might be able to close the book on that part of my life. I do have thoughts and strong convictions about the legal age of models working within the adult industry and I look forward to sharing.
Thank you to all of you who have supported my work and found it within your hearts to forgive the mistakes I made as a boy. I look forward to sharing pictures from the weekend! I’m still awaiting replies from some of the photographers.

Lucas was just truly jealous of your fan following and the accolades you are garnering in the adult industry. If he was wise he would pay closer attention as to how you are acheiving that goal.
I know I am one of many when I say, I am proud of you in all you do. I also understand we all as children make mistakes because at time we are not equipped to make adult decisions, but make no m,istake, everyone knows you have and are in the process of being a well respected adult in an industry that needs what you bring to it.

This whole thing turns on generating PR for the publicity hog, Michael Lucas.
This is an observation and a suggestion. Jason Curious took a tip from Lucas and an actual press release, that is, paper statement. Obviously, a press release is meant to sell something by definition. Demand that Jason Curious fact check and in the case where authorities are mentioned, contact them for the “official” unvarnished version of events.

Brent, there was a time not long ago, I thought you were a horrible person. Someone that was only out to help destroy others like you with the likes of B. K. I have often been so angry when I read things about your past and I voiced those opinions openly. For this I am now so sorry. I now have taken the time to look further at what you must go through day to day by many sources outside sources. I read your blog from time to time and see what you decide to creatively express about yourself. I am still young, productive and doing well for myself. I look at you from time to time and see some of the same mistakes I made being made by you. Worrying about the little things, being so involved in everything around you that you lose focus. I can’t say I have seen your videos that you worked on with your own business. When I am at a race I see lots of guys your age and think, I bet he would l be great working with ” Brent ” but, I never go there. They are fans. I know what struggle is, I have been there, with discovering who I am, what I want to do, how I want to go about it, how to improve myself. I really must say, after this weekend at the awards, I can’t compare to the things you are going through and will continue to go through in your chosen career but, if it means enough to you, then you just have to endure and push forward. I think the deciding moment for me when I changed my entire opinion of you was something you wrote, and I read it more of a promise, you would not treat other models you work with with such self-serving disregard for their well-being merely to produce a movie for your own company profits. Don’t give in to the temptation to respond to ML. Getting into a pissing contest will not accomplish anything except to give him more publicity. Maintaining a dignified silence would be much more effective. Many of your friends and fans will defend you as needed.
On a seperate but related matter. You have a gift for writing. Someday you really ought to consider writing your autobiography. For now, keep notes on imprtant events. Maybe take a college course in writing, just to polish your style. You are an amazing youg man with a compelling life story and you’re not even 25. Anyway, ust a thought.

Aww Brent, it’s terrible that people are still giving you crap. But that’s the price to pay of being a successful and well known actor, whether in the adult industry or otherwise. It’s great that you got 3 GayVN awards, and that the police were respectful to you and your boyfriend (there are never enough good officers out there).

After I read what Michael Lucas said about how he called the police on your boyfriend because he doesn’t take threats to his life “very cavalier” as he put it, I held off as long as I could before saying this:
I feel maybe, just MAYBE if Michael Lucas didn’t insist on UNJUSTIFIABLY acting like a spoiled brat, he could take a threat to his life very cavalier.
You WERE an underage performer. NOW, you are of legal age. Michael Lucas needs to stop his “stereotypical old gay man envying the young” routine, and focus on making a quality product. That way, he would have no need or concern to worry about your underage PAST that is done and over with, therefore should not be held against you.
In closing, people who behave the way Michael is behaving usually point their fingers at someone else as a way to divert people from finding the skeletons in their own closet. I myself pointed the “shame on you” finger at many when I was struggling with my sexuality, so I know from what I speak.

I agree with another fan, you past is in the past. They need to get over it. I think that you have paid your debt to the industry. As for ML, I have never liked his attitude and him being a pompous ass. He thinks that he can say anything he wants, when he wants, and that what he says is totally fact. I saw him on Rikki Lake belittle Billy Brandt when he should keep his nose out of other people’s business. My opinion is that he is a pompous ass and his films are not that good. the writing skills to put them into words, so I will just make a few comments. First, stop feeling guilty about
the under age situation. It is the responsibility of the
producer to make a genuine effort to verify the age of
a performer. Second, it is my belief that a person
holding negative, obsessive thoughts (“never stop
harassing”) will eventually attract negative circumstances and negative people into their lives. I have a problem with this as I suffer from just a touch of borderline personality disorder!

Sorry to hear the stuff you’ve had to go through recently. I’m one of many of your fans that support you.
Although I completely disagree with ML’s methods and drama directed at you and your boyfriend, which we all know ML seeks publicity in any way possible. I would like to know what amends have you made to the industry because of your lying about your age early on in your career? Many adult businesses lost revenue, time and effort in order to remove your earlier movies from their online sites and neighborhood stores, along with ASACP having to become involved to alert these businesses of your falsification of legal records. Have you reimbursed any of these individuals financially? Basically, all that I see is that you have benefited from the scandal. Michael Lucas and Sean Lockhart should probably do a porn together which would sell like crazy because the publicity has already been set up.
First off – congrats on the many nominations for you and your production company and for for the three very respectable wins at the GayVN’s on Sunday.
I was fortunate to be at the show and afterparty which was a really great event – other than Michael Lucas’ stunt. It came off as mean-spirited and self-serving and I can corroborate the boos exceeded the cheers by far. It should also be noted that aside from winning three awards, several presenters and award winners referred to you by name in their speeches in a very positive light as being among those holding the keys to the future of the industry.
As for Michale Lucas, it was hard to tell given his poor grasp of the English language (shouldn’t he really have a better ability to communicate – I forgive the Visconti Triplets and some of the younger Bel Ami guys but it isn’t as if ML just got to the US) but he made it sound as if you were underage *today*. As far as I can tell you admitted to making a mistake, apologized for it and have worked hard to move past it. You certainly don’t condone it and won’t let it happen to anyone else on your watch as an actor, director or producer.
Anyway the vibe from the mostly industry audience was clearly in your favor and you should continue on the high road.

As for Lucas, he’s just stirring waters, trying to get more attention onto himself. It’s kinda pathetic. If he’s attacking you like this, hey, maybe it just shows that now you’re a force to be considered in the industry. But I can understand how upsetting all this hostility is. It’s so unfair that you’re the one apologizing, when you were the one taken advantage of. It seems there are people who still consider your 17 year old self as some sort of gay porn Mata Hari, who deviously infiltrated the industry with the sole purpose of destroying it from the inside or something like this. They keep forgetting one elementary thing – the age limit is set at 18 for a reason. Before 18 there’s no legal discernment presumed. (In reality, 18 is not exactly an age of maturity – many people don’t mature even long after 18: see Lucas.) You were the victim there. It just seems so surreal when the victim has to keep on apologizing for being a victim.
Oh, and nice post. I admire very much how calmly and rationally you dealt with this Lucas matter. You have class.

FIRST, I want to add something important to these comments.
Your boyfriend deserves privacy and anonymity if that is what he desires. I was wondering about the use of his firstname on you blog even. Not an important point about the name but I just think that if he wants no part of the public sphere that it is his right. The comments requesting his photograph, though not intended to be, are out of line in my opinion. At least that is true if he wishes anonymity.
Now as for Michael Lucas, I don’t begin to understand his motives here. He can’t really be about what he has stated are his issues. It makes no cogent sense to me. To get up and do what he did is either completely deranged or is meanness equivalent to that of Brian Kocis (I can’t have my way with you so I will ruin you). Was a plot to keep you down in his mind ? I have no doubt that he thinks very well of himself for what has transpired. It is sad that this is so. My theory is that he thinks he is way more important in your industry than he is in reality. Does he see himself as an Oligarch of Gay Porn? Is the lawsuit against him for that film that he got awards for perhaps the genesis of these emotional outbursts? And how much did he make on this most expensive production?
As a separate mater, grneyemike (#27) asks if you have reimbursed any for lying about your age. This is a misguided idea if I ever heard one. You don’t have to reimburse anyone. Brian Kocis is the true devil in all this and any reimbursement, if any care now, should be directed at his estate. Not to mention the fact that your productions have already made a lot of money for these same people grneyemike is so worried for.
Your post here has shown again to all how balanced you are in comparison to your detractors.
Congratulations on your awards and success. It is regretful what happened to you and friends during the show and then later after the show.
For some of us it is just impossible to understand the position Mr. Lucas takes and his repeated rants against you. To agree with him, one would have to assume that the laws on child pornography exist for the protection of the adult film industry and not for children. What does it say about Mr. Lucas if he believes a 17 year old boy can bring down the entire porn industry? If a minor does appear in an adult production then either the producers knew the performer was under age and condoned it or the producers fail to take appropriate action to obtain and verify the minimum documentation required by law. Brent, the adult industry failed you when you were 17. Until Mr. Lucas apologizes to you for the industries’ failure to protect you, I see no reason you should continue to apologize to the industry. If Mr. Lucas is afraid of another 17 year old boy out there who wants to get into the adult industry, then perhaps Mr. Lucas should just get out of the business. His rants against you will certainly not protect that child.
PS. Actually, I do believe I know why you continue to apologize and I would understand if you continue to do so.

ernie (#32) It is not a misguided idea at all. When a minor is caught with false identification, under aged drinking etc. they are held liable for their misconduct. It doesn’t matter if they were coerced. “My friends pressured me into it” is a poor defense. They could lose their driver’s license at the very least. A simple “I’m sorry, Please don’t do what I did” doesn’t erase the fact that people lost tens of thousands dollars off of this lie. And Ernie, How easy it is for you to villianize the dead. So, don’t even bring up Brian Kocis. There are two sides to every story.
Two things to keep in mind grneyemike. First, there was a civil action brought against Brent which included, among other things, financial losses. That case was settled which means that both parties agreed on terms. Second, by Brent’s own admission, he was a kid, 17 years old. The other party was an adult (40+ I believe) and an experienced porn producer. In these cases, the law holds the adult to a far higher standard than the minor. Altogether, it was a sordid period in Brent’s life. He doesn’t persist in bringing it up over and over again. Why then do others?

As a bit of background, some time ago Mr. Lucas issued a press release about his letter to President Obama. He now claims it was just a joke, but with him who knows. Anyway, its April first so here it is…
I have been informed by a usually reliable source that President Barack Obama and his Russian counterpart, President Dmitry Medvedev, will meet in London on Wednesday to discuss the Michael Lucas situation. Tensions between the two countries increased during the last couple of days when it was disclosed that Mr. Lucas has returned to his mother Russia. The reason for his return is in dispute and assertions by the two powers has made it more difficult for Obama and Medvedev to repair relations that have been at their iciest since the Cold War.
Both countries face a range of pressing issues — from arms control and Iran’s nuclear program to the war in Afghanistan and the global economic crisis — on which they’ve declared their readiness to set aside tensions and work together.
“Possible areas of cooperation abound,” Russian President Dmitry Medvedev wrote Tuesday in a Washington Post opinion piece. “However, the United States must agree to return Mr. Lucas to their territory at the earliest possible date.”
Medvedev said he agreed with Obama that the immediate priority is establishment of civil discourse in the Adult Video Industry. Resuming the disarmament process that stalled under the Bush administration has again been jeopardized by this current crisis. They’re expected to revive that effort by agreeing to debate the appropriate punishment or honors for Brent Corrigan and his attempt to destroy the entire porn industry several years ago when he was only 17 years old.
Obama’s position on this issue is not yet know. He wants to obtain all the facts before speaking on the record. However, President Dmitry Medvedev plans to award the Russian medal of honor to Mr. Corrigan. “The medal is of unsurpassed beauty.” stated Medvedev. “It is handmade by a Dresden jeweler, the decoration is formed of solid 18 carat gold and white gold.” “It is a special symbol: St. George symbolizes the victory of good over evil.” “This is a deserved award for Mr. Corrigan’s achievements.”
A new accord likely would mandate the return of Mr. Lucas to the United States. Our informed source states that President Medvedev will show President Obama what Russia does to people who file false reports to the police.
When contacted, Mr. Corrigan stated he would have no further comment on this issue. Mr. Lucas could not be reached for comment.
Greneymike you are engaging in blaming the victim here, holding a 17 yo responsible for the actions of a 40 yo will not wash. Using your bar analogy if an 18 yo UNI student shows up with a printed copy of a California ID and the bar lets him in and he orders a beer who is responsible?
Yes that is exactly what Mr.Kocis did he accepted a photographed California ID scanned and then emailed to Cobra as identification.
That alone was a complete violation of Federal law.

Ernie is right. These people who lost “tens of thousands dollars” had contracts with Cobra Video LLC, who warranted to them the videos were marketable. They did NOT have contracts with Brent. Therefore, they need to ask and/or sue Cobra Video, LLC, to recoup these losses.
In addition, it was Cobra Video who lied to these people, knowing full well Brent was underage when the last 3 of the 4 were filmed, and when all 4 were distributed. So, the moral responsibility for compensation rests with Cobra Video LLC as well.
This is not villainizing the dead. This is simply the legal AND moral reality of the situation.
Dear Brent ! Now with everything what’s going one in the other blogs its kinda sad that you do not post an april fool’s post (Under these circumstances its hard, I know) — your last one is still very fresh in my memory.

I will. Bryan Kocis knew full well what he was doing. Exploiting a minor is not kosher in anyone’s book. A human life is worth one Hell of a lot more than the “tens of thousands lost off of this lie.” Whose real problem was that? A then 17 year old trying his best to keep a roof over his head? Or a 40 something engaged in predatory behavior of longstanding. Bryan Kocis is not someone to hold up for sainthood. And going after Ernie and Brent makes you look very petty in deed.
So you support exploiting those least able to be exploited. The real adult in this one particular case has been Brent. He took responsibility for his part. Kocis shares considerable blame for creating this situation in the first place.
You bet there are two sides to every story. Stuff your lectures.

it looks like the gayvn awards decided to take a look at what you have to offer and it seems like they really enjoyed it considering them giving you the 3 awards, so good job and dont you think all that hard work and b-s you had to go through was worth it all now? ok dont answer that
Congratulations on your awards Brent. How nice for you. I hope that this gives you affirmation. It was good to hear from you, Ernie. You made many excellent points. If feel bad that ML had to go off on his rant. You have spoken out many times against use of underage actors and bareback videos, Brent. You know from bitter experience how important these issues are. In a way you are in agreement on this so I don’t know why the guy can’t give you a break. You were exploited and thank God you survived what was done to you. Others have not. Our young people are precious and nobody should have to pay with their life and health just for someone’s entertainment. Respect and safety are important issues here.

I remember sending you Straczynski’s book “The Complete Book of Scriptwriting.” I knew that someone with your energy and drive would want to become more than a performer and I wanted to help. You are right that you have so many friends and fans who care about you and who want to help you on your journey.
I’ve never had much use for Michael Lucas, but I especially don’t now that I see he has no class.

Brent did not lie to any ‘industry.’ Brian Kocis did that on his Cobra Video box covers. Brian said the videos were 2257 compliant, not Brent. That was Brian’s job. He lied to the industry. Has Cobra reimbursed anyone financially for its criminal deception? In fact, did anyone really lose money? These were some of the hottest selling videos at the time. I reckon a lot of people made a lot of money off of the image of an underage boy being promoted by Cobra Video. Guess what? Cobra still promotes him to this day. The laws are not the same worldwide. Cobra is still profiting as a result of Brent’s underage work.
“My friends pressured me into it” is a poor defense.” It is a poor defense for an adult. It is somewhat expected that will happen during a childs growing up. That is part of growing up, learning to get a handle on what influences you. Brent was still a child at the time. Obviously he trusted the much older Chris and Brian. I suspect he has learned a few things since then. That would be expected because he is no longer a child. The three well earned awards he received are a nice indicator of the man not being much influenced by your way of thinking.
If a man was a villain in real life and never changed, he will remain a villain in death. Brian made himself into a villain. Not Ernie or anyone else.
Brent has made himself into a man.
I have enjoyed reading what you write for a long time. Your will go far beyond your dreams; to achieve more than you can know. Smile, and don’t forget this. You are Brent Corrigan and they are not.

As the ML rag all shakes out, it’s pretty clear that you have the moral integrity, the skill and talent, and a vision that the industry – and yes, the world – needs now. Whatever you choose to do with that, we will all benefit.

hey Brent, so is it true that you are friends with that up and coming actor Logan Noh????? i heard that Grant Roy is friends with his dad, so you and Logan have hungout a couple times. it would be awesome if u answered this question, because I think you guys are both super hot and amazingly talented actors, and i think it would be cool if it turned out to be true that you guys are actually friends.
