WHAT’S UP WITH THE WEBSITE?
You may have noticed that since around the time of the trial mid January the website has been unavailable more and more. Mark a good friend of mine, hosts the website here out of the goodness of his heart on one of his dedicated servers. He tells me that some of the website files have become corrupted where they are on the server. This is not an act of vandalism.
The only way to fix it is to completely erase the website and reload all of content. This is a long and lengthy process that could take 5-7 days with the hired work of a knowledgeable tech person. Neither Grant nor I know of someone whom is capable nor trustworthy of this task. Not to mention, someone who is going to get it done promptly without charging me for my left nut. I need my left nut.
Grant has been arranging for the development of a whole new website. More than a year ago, we began developing something off and on that ended up being very expensive – and in the end – was simply not something I was proud to call a redesign. It was a flop and it has caused a lot of stress on our friendship and working relationship. I believe now he is working to fix what went wrong there.
Basically, what I am getting at is . . . bare with us as we make the decison to wait it out and just throw up a whole new website in the coming month or so OR we find someone to fix the one that is dated and broken as it is.
One of our major issues as it stands is that our WordPress is behind on its updates. This, I believe, causes major rifts and technical difficulties for the website as a whole.
If we go for a whole new design, this will finally mark the launch of the long awaited BRENT CORRIGAN MEMBER’S SITE. Plus, a new advise column along with other features that I have been developing quietly.

It is done! Yesterday I entered an agreement with a very reputable technology and design firm. They are at work on it as we speak.
The first changes you will notice in the coming days and weeks will be a new and freshened look to the blog. It will have more features and be much more user/fan friendly.
I was given an estimate for completion in approximately 3 weeks. So between fine tuning and testing, then submission to the 3rd party billing for approval, I expect the “Member’s Site” to be up and the ability for fans to purchase memberships within 45 to 60 days!
With the confidence I feel towards the new web design team in place, I optimistically anticipate the time frame being closer to the 45 day estimate. We’ll just have to keep our fingers crossed.

It seems as if you don’t have much look with websites at all.
If you are interested I could look into the cost and length of time it’d take me to build you what you want but I’d need some kind of specifics. I graduated with a BSC in programming multimedia computing last year (08) from IADT.ie and would be more then happy to help in any way I can. (and yes, I’m whoring myself out for some kind of work). Glad to hear that progress is underway. I’m looking forward to the members’ site. I hope Brent is planning to appear on it, and not just serve as director/producer/casting coordinator. I like his taste in guys as shown in “Summit” and the “Just the Sex” films, but I have to say that Brent is my main interest. I also hope there are plans to keep a blog that’s open to everyone.
P.S. – Do I need to put in a request that the videos on the member site work for Mac owners, too, natively? Seems like that’s pretty standard these days. I hope Brent and Grant are keeping Mac-only users in mind.

Brent’s Blog will always be free and available for everyone! Also, there will be no DRM on the videos and everything will be Mac compatible! Brent and myself are now converted Mac users, BTW!

It has been a very eventful few days on the Internet. I learned of the death of Marilyn Chambers. I felt very sad and for someone my age with health problems, it was just another reminder that life is short and it gets shorter every day. Then, I found the most inspiring event ever put on YouTube. I’m sure everyone is aware of the performance of Susan Boyle on Britain’s got Talent that has received so much attention all over the world. Her performance of I Dreamed a Dream from Les Miserables was the most incredibly fantastic amateur effort I have ever heard. Every time I watch it I weep with joy. To know that so many more are so moved by this gives me hope for the future of humanity. And now comes the news that what I had feared might never be is at long last going to happen! I think that all the big troubles are over for you now Brent. It’s been a long time with this old website and the new one is going to be great.
There’s a lot more I could say but I’ll just throw out a few more thoughts:
Two people have met the challenge of beauty from opposite ends and have used the strength of their spirits to rise above the cynicism of others.
No matter whether they boo and jeer or applaud and cheer, you have to finish the song.

Hey Brent (and Grant):
First off, let me start by saying that I truly enjoy reading your blogs (obviously, that’s directed toward Brent himself). It’s such a privilege that even during your hectic schedule, you take out the time to update us on what is going on in areas of your personal life and that means a lot to us fans.
I don’t want to drag this out too much, so if I do overstep that limit of “talking way too much”, I apologize in advance. However, there’s been something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now and I figured it would be best to ask the source rather than purge even further through my own brain to work this all out.
Here it goes: *sighs*
Brent, I’ve been a fan of yours for quite some time. I’ve stepped forward past your “known work” and have become more interested in the other parts of your life: your intellect, your acting work (I thought “In The Closet” was pretty great and adored your cameo in “AGS”) and your day to day stylings of what makes your life go round. I know that sounds a bit borderline “stalkerish”, but I mean no such harm and would never get to that point. Besides, my life is too hectic to actively and obsessively follow someone else’s. LOL OK.. I know, dragging.
The point is, I would write this directly to your “fan mail” address, but I thought this might be a quicker way to get a response either from you or from Grant. I, too, am a blog writer and for some time, I’ve been trying to get out a blog about you; expressing who you are past the porn world and showing a better light of you as S*** L******* (I won’t put your real name here, although; I’m sure it’s known), not just the “Brent Corrigan” side of things.
I guess what I’m asking is: if someone came your way and told you that they wanted some input on how you see things, how you live your life… what would you want most known? If there was someone out there that never heard of you, what would you most want them to know to express to them just how great I think you already are? I know, it seems like I should be able to easily pull this one out, but I’m afraid of being way too one-sided and having the expressive scale of you being all about your line of work and not who you actually are.
I hope I’m not a bother by posting this here or even worse, taking even more time out of your schedule(s). I really just want other people to know what the man really stands for.
Anyway, that’s all for now. Please keep the blogs coming as they are truly an enjoyable read. You are a strong person and you will only get stronger as time goes on. You may have been through a lot in your short life, but there is always something bigger and better over that hill… and when it does, I’ll be the one clapping the loudest.

It is amazing that Brent who has such a broad and interesting fan base does not have any interesting and active fan site. If you check out the yahoo groups under his (real or artist’s) name you would be surprised how dead they are. Every few months someone asks how to download a video.
Lately I spoke or emailed with some female fans. The female fans alone could start a website (that would be quite original I guess). But one is doubtful thinking about even a working neutral (or male) fan website not really existing.
